Editing songs (walkthrough)
You can edit the chords to any song in Strum Machine. Say you’d like to substitute one chord for another, or make the B part repeat once instead of twice, or turn all the major chords into diminished chords. All of these things are possible! (Although I wouldn’t recommend that last one, personally…)
Here’s a video that shows you the basic editing process:
This video is slightly out of date, as the playback interface has changed. You can now find the menu at the top-center of the song in the navigation bar; on phones, tap the icon.

”Edit a copy” vs “Edit”
From the top menu on any song page, click on “Edit” (displayed as on smaller screens) and you will see different options depending on the song.
For songs in the public Strum Machine library, you will only see an Edit a copy of this song link. This is because you can’t edit public songs directly, but you can make your own version of them. Therefore, this link will make a copy of the song; you can then make whatever changes you like and save it. This version will be visible only to you, unless you share it. The original song will remain untouched.
Songs you’ve added to the library can also be edited without making a new copy, using the Edit this song link. They can also be deleted using the Delete this song link, but be careful; deleted songs are gone forever!
