Using Strum Machine offline

Strum Machine can be set up for offline access, so that you can use it even when you have no internet connection. Most features are available offline. The main limitation is that song lists are read-only when you’re not connected to the internet. But the entire song library is synced to your device, so you can play any song that is available or even create new songs while offline.

If you’re on a phone or tablet, the recommended approach is to download the mobile app. The app has offline capabilities built in.

If you’re using the Chrome browser on a computer, follow these instructions to enable offline mode and install a handy “app” shortcut.

If you’re using another computer web browser (like Firefox, Safari, or Edge), you can still use Strum Machine offline. First, though, you’ll have to follow these steps:

  1. Click on Settings in the top-left corner of the home screen.
  2. Click on the “Download the App” page in the left navigation menu.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Enable Offline Mode”.

After clicking “Enable Offline Mode”, all song data will be downloaded to your browser, and then the page will reload. You’ll then be able to use strummachine.com offline.
